Majd Al Waheidi is a reporter based in Washington D.C. She previously worked as a multimedia reporter in Gaza, including three years with the New York Times. She is always looking for human stories and rituals in times of crisis. In Gaza she reported on the first Islamic dating website, discovered the first cycling club for Palestinian women, and documented the human impact of the 2014 Israel-Gaza war. She mainly researches the impact of tech and social media on Middle Eastern societies. She earned her M.A in Arab Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
