Since its launch, Rest of World has produced groundbreaking reporting on the impact of tech on populations outside the West, with a significant focus on the gig economy and gig workers. The grant from Ford Foundation will fund a Labor x Tech Reporting Fellowship to hire reporters in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
