Zeyi Yang is a reporter for Protocol. Prior to that, he covered China as a reporting fellow for Rest of World. Born and raised in China, Zeyi completed his master's degree from Columbia Journalism School and School of International and has contributed to the South China Morning Post, Columbia Journalism Review, Narratively, and Nikkei Asian Review, among other publications.
