When anti-police-corruption protests erupted in Nigeria, and became a global phenomenon under the #EndSARS banner, the repercussions in the country’s booming tech scene were immediate and profound. While many supported the protests and moves toward reform, some remained silent while others made lots of noise; the government has since instituted retributive regulation, banned both Twitter and cryptocurrency, and shaken the tech sector, prompting worries of brain drain and divestment.
