This event has already taken place -- thank you to those who joined us.
The future of tech is way bigger than Silicon Valley, which is why Rest of World is holding live events in four different cities to highlight the tech leaders, investors, policy makers and activists shaping the way their countries and continents are evolving thanks to the internet.
We kicked off in Nairobi, where our Executive Editor, Anup Kaphle, hosted a Fireside Chat with Kui Mbugua, the General Manager for Uber Eats Kenya, where she leads Uber Eats’ strategy development across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Yinka Adegoke, our former Strategic Initiatives Editor, moderated a panel entitled, “What comes first, the talent or the investment? How to navigate being big on ideas and enthusiasm and short on talent and resources as the investment horizon begins to shift.” Tech leaders and investors from East Africa and beyond discussed the impact of a difficult global economic outlook on future talent pipelines in the regions Rest of World covers.
Finally, we concluded the evening with a networking session and cocktail reception, celebrating Rest of World’s first in-person event with new and existing members of our global community.
Stay tuned as we pick up the conversation in Mexico City, Jakarta, and Delhi later this year.
