We are thrilled to share that Damilare Dosunmu will join Rest of World as our Africa Reporter.

Damilare was previously a senior reporter at TechCabal where he worked for about two years. During this time, he reported stories about the growing tech ecosystem across the African continent, including in countries like Nigeria, Sudan, South Africa, and Senegal. He has reported and written stories about the toxic work culture and lack of corporate governance at African startups, the impact of the global economic downturn on these young companies, and Google’s long-term strategy for the continent, among other things.

Damilare has also contributed to Al-Monitor, a Washington D.C.-based publication focused on the Middle East and North Africa. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin.

Damilare will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.
