Monika Shergill is the vice president for content at Netflix India. She is a key decision-maker on what shows get commissioned or acquired by the video streaming service in India, and eventually streamed to its global audience. She has expanded Netflix’s content slate to include diverse Indian voices in writing, acting, and genre of stories commissioned. Shergill previously led content commissioning for Viacom 18 and Star India.
