Pierpaolo Barbieri is the founder and CEO of the Argentine fintech unicorn Ualá, valued at $2.45 billion, after the neobank received backing from SoftBank and Tencent in August 2021, to accelerate its growth across Latin America. Barbieri is making steady progress, with more than 17% of Argentines now using Ualá (over 30% of them are young people), and is working on Ualá Classroom, the educational project his team launched this year offering free online courses and video tutorials on how to manage personal finances.
