Debunk EU is a Lithuania-based disinformation analysis center and independent think tank that received initial support from Google’s Digital News Innovation Fund. With more than 13 years of experience in IT innovation and project management, Dauksas oversees Debunk EU’s use of AI and volunteers, or what the think tank calls “elves,” to seek out and combat misinformation in Eastern Europe, particularly Russia, and educational media literacy campaigns. The think tank’s disinformation analysis covers topics from hybrid warfare and migration to the Covid-19 pandemic, which Dauksas claims was a turning point for his team’s work.
